Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your AEG Dishwasher.
Regular Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, clean the filters regularly. Remove the lower basket, unlock the filter system by turning the handle on the microfilter counterclockwise, and clean the coarse filter, microfilter, and flat filter with a soft brush.
Check Water Hardness
Adjust the water hardness setting to the highest level initially, run a washing program without dishes, and then adjust the water softener according to your local water hardness levels to prevent limescale build-up.
Use Dishwasher Salt
Ensure the salt container is filled to prevent limescale particles on dishes. Adjust the water softener to the appropriate level and close the salt container cap correctly.
Rinse Aid Usage
Use rinse aid to improve drying results and prevent dishes from appearing wet and dull. Adjust the rinse aid dosage according to the level of water hardness.
Prevent Filter Clogs
Avoid using the dishwasher without filters and ensure spray arm holes are not clogged. If needed, use a cocktail stick to clear any blockages in the spray arms.
